How does it work?

Once switched on from the underside of the watch and placed on the wrist, the wearer need only to tap the screen twice to ‘wake’ the watch.   If the wearer then needs to activate an SOS, they need only to ‘swipe up and swipe right’. This action then initiates the SOS feature which will begin to notify your pre-set emergency contacts list.  The location of the wearer is then shown on the Spacetalk App that your nominated emergency contact person has installed on their mobile phone, allowing them to locate and attend to the wearer.

Each watch comes with a pre-configured SIM card and will operate wherever there is Telstra mobile network coverage.  This means your family or emergency contacts can also phone your Spacetalk watch and speak to you directly. Allowing them to provide reassurance when you need it the most.

Does the Spacetalk Adventurer Watch work without a SIM card?

No, the Spacetalk Adventurer watch uses the Mobile Network to send out alerts. For this reason, the Spacetalk Adventurer watch is supplied with a SIM card already pre-programmed for use.

Our subscription charges cover the cost of the Sim Card usage of the Spacetalk Adventurer Watch plus access to the application software & updates for all the benefits & features of the watch. The Spacetalk Adventurer Watch must have an active subscription plan to work.

The Spacetalk Adventurer Watch will show the emergency screen and will continue to search for the mobile network & once in range will push out the alert unless the alert is cancelled.

At the clock screen, swipe down on the touch screen to reveal the battery level, network signal strength, volume and brightness control.

The data connection is very important for normal operation of the Adventurer Watch.  To check the active data connection, locate the information menu icon and tap it.  In the information menu scroll down to Service State.  The status should be “Connected”.
